| Habicht was described by the German Trakehner Hengstbuch as one of the most important sires of his time. He had a successful international eventing career under Martin Plewa, and went on to sire 13 approved sons, and numerous top competition horses. Recently, his son Sixtus was one of the youngest elite stallions in Germany, who has become a notable jumper. His son Windfall, imported by Timothy & Cheryl Holekamp, has qualified to compete for the USA's 2004 eventing team in Athens. Habicht was known for reliably passing on his jumping talent and impressive movement to his offspring. |
